Rollout of the first five million units is planned to start in July 2007. A free development environment, Sugar, is available. Several textbook projects are underway. We have run our own DtM seminar and design studio course at the MIT Media Lab since 2001, with partner classes in India and Brazil since 2002. Last Fall, we completed our proof-of-concept testing at MIT, with Prof. Woodie Flowers implementing DtM design challenges in his senior mechanical engineering product design course.
